Make Plans for Autonomous Electric Vehicles

Is Fishermans Bend planning for the future of autonomous electric vehicles? Olli a product of US company Local Motors is already trialing this amazing 8 seat autonomous eVehicle. With planners now designing the fine grain of Fishermans Bend, thought should be given to autonomous EVs. Small dial up vehicles could feed into Metro stations and local shopping precincts. With Toyota's Australian HQ in the area and GM Design Centre plus the Australian Road Research Board it makes sense.

Fishermans Bend Business Forum is holding its first Annual General Meeting on Thursday 25 October 2018 (commencing at 9.00am). The Steering Committee has worked hard since early in 2018 to establish the Forum as a voice for the business community in its engagement with government and the broader community. The Committee is looking for members to take up roles on the new Committee to keep up the momentum. The Steering Committee has appointed Carolyn Fyfe to provide admin support on a part time basis. Fishermans Bend Takes the Next Step

The Victorian Government has released the Fishermans Bend Framework document that sets out the strategy for the development of the Fishermans Bend Urban Renewal Area. In launching it the Minister for Planning the Hon. Richard Wynne MP outlined the final plan for the area and the appointment of the Fishermans Bend Development Board.
