Build-to-Rent Sandridge Apartment Development Moves One Step Closer

The Port Phillip Council recently supported an amended proposal for a 20 story apartment development at 118 Bertie St in the Sandridge Precinct.  The location between Fennell Street and the Freeway, if given the go ahead by the Minister for Planning, will be the first major apartment development in the area and will be a real test for the market.

The developers are proposing 165 one-, two- and three-bedroom build-to-rent apartments, 485 sqm of retail floorspace and 317 sqm of commercial office space.  This could provide a valuable opportunity for workers in Fishermans Bend to locate close to their work.
